October 2017, at 70 years of age, I joined the Peace Corps to serve in the West Africa nation – The Gambia. I will use this blog to stay in touch with family and friends, as I navigate this adventure. Some personal history is included, to share as I travel, and encourage other older Americans to become Peace Corps Volunteers.

You have always been such an inspiration. In fact, i now have a hot tub. Granted, I don’t get to use it every night but someday it will be my staple. Now, you have broken all barriers…. are you kidding me???? sold your house and living in a few pieces of luggage. OH how you have raised the barre. I am so blessed to have you in my life and look forward to hearing of your adventures
